  • Continues to be the leading supplier in a combination of value and service in the supply of commercial stationery and equipment and aims to do so with the minimum of pollution impact on the environment.
  • Continues to be environmentally aware with a commitment to continuous improvement of its environmental performance and prevention of pollution.
  • To achieve this we continue to strive for excellence in meeting and exceeding the needs and expectations of customers, in the care we take of both customers and staff and in the partnerships we develop with our suppliers.
  • We aim to meet the requirements of relevant environmental legislation and regulations as well as the other requirements to which the Company subscribes (specifically the Valpak requirements).
  • As a means of continually improving our service our Management Objectives are set, monitored and reported at our Management Review meeting.
  • The Company, its Directors and Management are committed to continually improve the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System.
  • To help meet this goal the Company has implemented and is maintaining an Integrated Management System, which includes Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems as outlined in this Manual, in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001/2000 and BS EN14001.
  • In addition to his duties as Manager and Director, the Procedures Director is the Management Representative for the Integrated Management System.

Management Commitment

The Board and the Management of Ian Smith (Stationers) Ltd are fully committed to the maintenance of the Companies compliance to BS EN ISO 9001/2000 and BS EN14001 and have demonstrated this by:

  • Communicating to all staff their need to meet customer, environmental and statutory requirements
  • Establishing an Integrated Management Policy
  • Continually reviewing the Integrated Management Policy for suitability and effectiveness
  • Establishing quality objectives at the management review meeting, and
  • Ensuring the availability of necessary resources.

Customer Focus

Top management has ensured that customer requirements are determined and are fulfilled with the aim of securing customer satisfaction.

Responsibility

  • Each member of staff has a Job Description, which sets out their responsibilities, which can be found in the 'Handbook' - 'Manager's' file.
